Given Equation :-

2(x + 1) - x = 3(x + 1).

Solution :-

➭ 2x + 2 – x = 3x + 3.

➭ x + 2 = 3x + 3.

➭ x – 3x = 3 – 2.

➭ -2x = 1.

➭ x = - 1/2.

➭ x = -0.5

Verification :-

➭ 2(-0.5 + 1) + 0.5 = 3(-0.5 + 1)

➭ 2(0.5) + 0.5 = 3(0.5)

➭ 1.5 = 1.5

LHS = RHS.

Hence, Verified.
