X/5 -Y/3 = 4/15

X/2 - Y/9 = 7/18

BY TAKING LCM

3X - 5Y = 4 ------------1

9X - 2Y = 7 ------------2

EQ 1 IS MULTIPLY BY 3 AND SUNTRACT EQ 1 FROM 2

9X - 15Y = 12

9X - 2Y = 7

- + -

------------------

-13Y = 5

Y= -5/13

PUT Y = -5/13 IN EQ 1

3X -5(-5/13) = 4

3X + 25/13 = 4

TAKING 13 LCM

39X + 25 = 52

39X = 52 - 25

39X = 27

X = 27/39

X = 9/13

X=9/13 AND Y = -5/13
