1.Suppose you are going for a trip and you boarded a bas. The bus
driver asked you to wear safety belts. Will you agree with the
driver and wear safety belts? Justify your answer in the light of Newton's first law of motion.
2.An object moving with a velocity of 72km/hr changes its velocity to 90 km/hr in 10 seconds. Find
the distance travelled by the object during this time interval using only one equation of motion

Answer:

Accidents are sometimes created by ourselves due to our careless activities. If a person is driving basic things should be done first. Among drivers and front-seat passengers, seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45% and cut the risk of serious injury by 50%.

There are many ways by which safety belts of cars help in preventing accidents. They are as follows.

It helps to prevent injury in the case of a car crash by decreasing the velocity of a body as it undergoes a sudden reduction in speed.

A seatbelt expands the stopping force required to decelerate the rider across their body. This stops the body from hitting the steering column or windshield of a high-speed car, which could easily result in injury or even death.

The belt is designed to apply most of the stopping force required to the rib cage and pelvis both of which are relatively robust.

Answer:

1) yes I ll agree with the bus driver because from the newtons 1st law of motion if a body is in motion it wants to be in motion. And if you get in the bus you will get the velocity of bus but when driver applies break newtons laws want to continue but your velocity drops suddenly nd you will move forward leads to accident.

2) Equation of motion, S= [(u+v)/2]×t

S=❓

u=72km/hr

v=90km/hr

t= 10sec, but before putting in eq it need to be in hr. so, t= 10×(1/3600) hr

t= 1/360 hr.

put in equation nd u ll get ans, S= 0.225km
