represented the analysed data in the form of table as shown.
Daily income (in)
100-120
120-140
140-160
160-180
180-200
Number of workers

The value of  mode is "125" .

Step-by-step explanation:

The given table are:

Daily income (in RS.)  100-120  120-140  140-160  160-180  180-200

Number of workers      12             14              8             6             10

As the class 120-140 has maximum frequency. so it is the modal class.

x_{k} =120,f_{k} =14,f_{k-1} =12,f_{k+1} =8 and h = 20

Mode=x_{k} +\dfrac{f_{k}-f_{k-1}} {2f_{k}-f_{k-1-f_{k+1}}} \times h

=120 +\dfrac{14-12} {2(14)-12-8}} \times 20

=120 +\dfrac{2} {28-20}} \times 20

=120 +5

= 125

Hence, the value of  mode is 125 .
