Answer: 40 year

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of Father be x

and the sum of the age of son be y

• The age of father is twice the sum of the ages of his two children's.

x = 2y .... ( i )

• After 20 years, his age will be equal to the sum of ages of his children's.

° After 20 years , their age will be

Father's age :- ( x + 20 )

Sum of two son's age :- ( y + 20 + 20 )

:- ( y + 40 )

( x + 20 ) = ( y + 40 )

x - y + 20 - 40 = 0

x - y - 20 = 0 ...... ( ii )

Putting value of x from ( i ) in ( ii )

x - y - 20 = 0

2y - y - 20 = 0

y = 20

Putting value of y in ( i )

x = 2y

x = 2 × 20

x = 40

So, the present age of father is 40 years !!

hope so helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!
