Question :

The area of a trapezoid is 52 sq. cm. and the bases are 11 cm. and 15 cm. Find the height .

Answer :

\sf\pink{Given:}

  • Area of trapezoid is 52 cm² .

  • Bases are 11 cm and 15 cm .

\sf\pink{To\:find:}

  • Height of the trapezoid ?

Explanation :

Area of Trapezium = \sf{\dfrax{1}{2}\times ( a + b )\times h}

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{ 52 = \dfrac{1}{2}\times ( 11 + 15 )\times h }

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{ 52 = \dfrac{1}{2}\times 26\times h }

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{ 52 = 13\times h }

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{h = \dfrac{52}{13} }

\\ \longrightarrow\sf{h = 4 }

Therefore the height is 4 cm .
