The areas of two similar triangle are 36 cm² and 121 cm². Find ratio of their corresponding  sides.

SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW FIRST

For similar triangles, the ratio of their areas is equal to the square of the side of the corresponding triangles.

SOLUTION :-

Let there be 2 triangles, ΔABC and ΔPQR.

For, ΔABC, its corresponding side would be AB and for ΔPQR, its corresponding side would be PQ.

So, (Area of ΔABC/Area of ΔPQR) = (AB²/PQ²)

                                                          =36/121

                                                           =6²/11²

                                             (AB/PQ) = 6/11

∴Required ratio is 6:11.
