1. The cost of 37 m of silk is Rs. 6290. What length of this silk can be purchased for 4420?
2. A worker is paid Rs. 1110 for 6 days. If his total wages during a month are Rs. 4625, for how many days he works?

Let the saree lenth be X m

cost of 37m Silk = ₹. 6290

cost of X m silk = (4420 / 6290) × 37

= 25.99

= 26m

Therefore for ₹. 4420 he can buy 26 m of silk

2. Let the number of days be "a"

Amt paid for

₹. 1110 ------> 6 days

₹. 4625 ---> (4625 / 1110) × 6

= 25 days

Amount ₹. 4625 is paid for 25 days
