option (B)

if we put

x = a and y = b

then we see that only option (B) is satisfied.

proof :

put the value of x and y in option (B)

now

=> a/a + b/b

= 1 + 1

=> 2 = R.H.S

so

L.H.S. = R.H.S.

Hope it may Help you.
