GIVEN GOALS SCORED BY TEAM WERE : ( observations )

2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,1 ,3 ,3 ,4 ,3

arranging the data in ascending order:

1, 2 ,3,3,3,3,4,4,5,6

mean  =  \frac{sum of observations}{no. of observations}

Mean = \frac{2+3+4+5+6+1+3+3+4+3}{10}

mean = 34/ 10

mean = 3.4

mode is the most occuring value

in the data the most occuring value is 3

mode of the data is  3 .

median is the middle most value

there are 10 observations so the median will be the mean of 5th and 6th observations

median =  { (5th observation)+(6th observ.)} / 2

median = ( 3+3)/2

median = 3
