Math, asked by kristinnreyes, 1 year ago

1. The length of one leg of a right triangle is 20 ft and the other hypotenuse is 52 ft

what is the length of the other leg?

2. The length of one leg of a right triangle is 8 cm and the other hypotenuse is 15 cm

what is the length of the other leg?
(im give the brainliest to the one who solves this first and correctly)

1)-

By Pythagoras theorem,

(52)² =(20)² +(other leg)²

2704 -400 = other leg²

2304 = other leg²

√2304 =other leg

48 =other leg

The lenght of other leg is 48ft

2)-

By Pythagoras theorem,

8²+(other leg)² =15²

Other leg² =225-64

Other leg² = 161

Other leg =√161

I hope this will help you

In a right angle triangle, as we know
(HYPOTENUSE) 2=(first leg) 2+(second leg)

(52)2=(20)2+(second leg) 2

2704=400+(second leg) 2

2704-400=(second leg) 2

2304=(second leg) 2

root 2304=second leg

48=second leg

So, the length of other leg of triangle is 48feet
answr.............

Same as first ques. we apply pythagorus triplet

AB2=AC2+BC2
(15)2=(8)2+BC2

225=64+BC2

225-64=BC2

161=BC2

root 161=BC

12.688=BC

So, the lenght of other leg of the triangle is root 12.688 feet

hope thus helps u...
