Data given:

ratio of parallel sides = 6:8

distance between the parallel sides = 10 cm

area of the trapezium = 350 cm²

We have to find the lengths of its parallel sides

Let the lengths be 6x and 8x

The formula for the area of trapezium is

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2} × (sum of parallel sides) × distance between the parallel sides

Putting the values in the formula

350 = \frac{1}{2} × ( 6x + 8x ) × 10

70 =  14x

x = 5

Therefore, the length of sides

6x = 6 × 5

    = 30

7x = 7 × 5

    = 35

Lengths will be 30 cm and 35 cm
