1. The points (–2,0), (–2, 6) and (3, 0) are vertices of a rectangle. Find the fourth vertex

2. Find the perimeter and area of the figure formed using the points: (4, 0), (4, –5), (9, 0), and (9, –5)

3. In what axis is the x-coordinate always zero? The y-coordinate is always zero?

Answer:

(3,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

from the one of the condition of being rectangular is AB = DC & AD = BC

Here A(-2,0) B(-2,6) C(3,0) & the fourth one is D(a,b)

so as we know that the distance between the points is equal to,

AB =✓[(a-c)^2 + (b-d)^2]

on finding the values like AB, DC, BC & AD in the terms of a & b then on equating AB = DC and AD = BC.

Then we'll find that fourth term i.e D(3,6)

Thank you!
