Step by step explanation:-

Given

price of 4 kg of rice is equal to the price of 9 kg of wheat.

price of 1 kg of wheat is Rs 20

To find

what is the total cost of 8 kg of rice and 9 kg of wheat?

Solution

Price of 1 kg of wheat = 20

So, Price of 9 kg of wheat = 20*9= Rs 180

and,

Price of 4kg of rice = 9kg of wheat (Given)

‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎4 kg of rice = 180

price of 1 kg of rice = 180\4 = Rs 45

Now, we can easily find ,

Cost of 8 kg of rice= 8*45=360

Cost of 9 kg of wheat = 9*20=180

Therefore , total cost of 8kg of rice and 9kg of wheat is Rs 540
