50 paise = 0.5 Rs

25 paise = 0.25 Rs

  • Let the common multiple be x

  • Therefore, number of 1 Rs , 50 paise and 25 paise coins are 4x , 5x and 6x respectively.

  • According to the given condition,

  • 4x + 5x + 6x = 120

  •                15x = 120

  •                    x = 8

  • Thus , the number of 25 paise coins = 6x

  •                                                              = 6 x 8

  •                                                              =  48 coins
