Answer:

1• the other integer is 55 as 43+(-54)=12

2•. p-(-8)=3

so bracket will open and then the equation will be

p+8=3

Now 8 will go on the other side p=3-8

Hence p=-5

Answer:

1) Let the first integer be = 43

  Let the second integer be = x             -55+43

x + 43 = -12

x = - 12 - 43

  = - 55

Therefore, the second integer is -55.

2) The first integer = -8

   The second integer = p

p - ( - 8 ) = 3

p + 8 = 3

p = 3 - 8

  = - 5

Therefore, p = -5.
