Answer:

Let the numbers be 2x and 3x

According to the condition:

2x+3x= 35

↦5x = 35

↦ x =  \frac{35}{5}

↦x = 7

Therefore, The value of x is 7.

Now, The first number is 2x = 2 × 7 = 14

And the second number is 3x = 3×7 = 21

Let,

  • first number be = x
  • second number be = y

A/c to question,

Case1.

(The sum of two integers is 35)

➠ x + y = 35 ______________(1)

Case2.

(the ratio of these integers is 2:3)

➠ x : y = 2:3

➠ x/y = 2/3

➠ 3x - 2y = 0_____________(2)

Now, multiply 2 in equ(1)

➠2x + 2y = 70___________(3)

Now, add equ(2) & (3)

➠3x + 2x = 70

➠ 5x = 70

➠ x = 70/5

➠x = 14

Now, keep Value of x in equ(2)

➠3×14 - 2y = 0

➠ 2y = 42

➠ 2y = 42

➠ y = 42/2

➠ y = 21

\Large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\tt{\red{Hence}}}}}}

  • Value of x = 14
  • Value of y = 21
