Let the numbers be x and y.

Given that sum of two numbers is 35.

= > x + y = 35 ----- (1)

Given that difference of two numbers is 13.

= > x - y = 13 ------ (2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On solving (1) & (2), we get

= > x + y = 35

= > x - y = 13

-----------------

2x = 48

x = 24.

Substitute x = 24 in (1), we get

= > x + y = 35

= > 24 + y = 35

= > y = 11.

Therefore, the numbers are 24 and 11.

Hope this helps!

Let one number be X

Let other number be Y

ACCORDING TO THE GIVEN QUESTION:-
===================================

X + Y = 35 ---------------------------------------------------(1)

X - Y = 13 ---------------------------------------------------(2)

➡Solving equation (1) and (2) by Elimination Method ,

We have ,

2X = 48

X = 48/2

X = 24 ---------------------------------------------------(3)

Put value of X from (3) in (2)

24 - Y = 13

-Y = -11

Y = 11

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

✔Hence the numbers are 11 and 24
