To find:

What will be the biggest share in thousands?

Solution:

The ratio of the investment done by the 3 partners,

= (200000 × 8) : (300000 × 6) : (250000 × 12)

dividing by 10000 throughout

= (20 × 8) : (30 × 6) : (25 × 12)

dividing by 5 throughout

= (4 × 8) : (6 × 6) : (5 × 12)

dividing by 4 throughout

= 8 : 9 : 15

From the ratio, we can say that the third partner will receive the maximum share as compared to the other two partners.

The total profit at the end of the year = Rs. 64000

Now,

The biggest share received by the 3rd partner will be,

=  $\frac{15}{32} \times 64000$

= $15 \times 2000$

= 30000

= 30 thousands ← option (b)

Thus, the biggest share in thousands will be → 30 thousand.
