Let the 1st number (greater) = x

Let the 2nd number (smaller) = y

x-y = 3

x = 3+y. -------(1)

2y+3x = 19. -------(2)

On putting value of equation (1) in (2):

2y+3(3+y) = 19

2y+9+3y = 19

5y+9 = 19

5y = 19-9

y = 10/5

y = 2

x= 3+2

x = 5

Here is your answer and hope it will help you.
