diffusion is only suitable for smaller distance but for longer distance it is not valid.

Answer- In multicellular organisms like humans , all the body cells are not in direct contact with the surrounding environment. Therefore , every cell if the

body will not get oxygen as per need by the process of diffusion from the environment . Thus diffusion is insufficient to meet the oxygen requirement of multicellular organisms. They rather need a complete system i.e respiratory system to meet the oxygen requirement.
