respectively. In how much time will they cross each
other, if they are running in the same direction?

options are:

Answer:

4) 252 second

Step-by-step explanation:

If the trains are running side by side then the relative speed will be 45 - 40 = 5 km/h

If the faster train wanted to go past the slower train then it would have to cover the length of both trains combined.

= 200 + 150 = 350 m

Now the train have to cover 350 m with a speed of 5 km/h. So,

= 1 km/h = 1000 m/h

So 5 km/h = 5000 m/h

And 1 hour = 3600 second

= distance = speed x time

= 350 = 5000/3600 x t

= t = 350 x 3600/5000

= t = 252 second
