This is just breaking the vectors into x-components (=10N*cos(angle)) and y-components (=10N*sin(angle)), and then adding them together.

Or you can picture the vectors and see that 60 degrees and 120 degrees are symmetric and opposite compared to the 90-degree y-axis. That means that the result, the two added together, will be straight up in the y-direction with magnitude 2*10N*sin(60) or 2*10N*sin(120), they give the same value.

Aside: if you use Excel, you need to convert 120 degrees into radians with an equation like =2*10*SIN(RADIANS(120))
