1 Veena wanted to show that transpiration in leaves will not occur if its surface is
blocked. She took a leaf, applied vaseline on its upper side. She took a normal leaf as
well, she then tied a plastic bag to it. Later she found that both the plastic bags had
water in them. What went wrong?
A She forgot to apply vaseline, on the back side of the leaf.
B She put too much water to the plant pot, so the experiment failed.
C Transpiration does not take place in plants.
D It rained that day, so water entered the plastic bag.
