Answer:

(a) Glucose is the most absorb-able form of carbohydrate.

Any other carbohydrate breaks down to glucose before absorption by the blood vessels and finally by blood.

Therefore, it provides instant energy.

(b) When the patient suffers from hypoglycemia, they need to be on drip of glucose.

Hypoglycemia is a condition, where blood glucose level goes down below normal and patient feels very weak.

This can occur due to less intake of carbohydrates, problems with breakdown of complex form of carbohydrate to simpler form, any factor preventing absorption of glucose by blood or may be due to severe blood loss.

(c) A patient needs to be on glucose drip, till normal blood glucose level returns or he / she is able to intake food properly.
