1. Women have shorter vocal cords which vibrate more quickly and produce a higher pitch that’s why voice of women is usually shrill compared to men.
2. All sounds are produced by the vibration of one or more parts of an object. When we stretch strings of a veena, guitar or sitar the strings vibrate to produce musical sounds. The sound is produced due to plucking of strings and the membrane of the instruments also stretches to vibrate along with the air columns.
