  1. The GramSabha looks after the needs of the villagers .For this it holds formal meeting twice a year.
  2. It passes the budget for the whole year and checks the accounts of all the developmental programs of the village.
  3. The Gram Sabha elects its President and Vice President who are also called the Pradhan and the Up-Pradhan respectively. They are also the president and the vice president of the gram panchayat. They are elected for a term of 5 years and there are authorised to elect the members are the 5 years of the gram panchayat and the Nyaya Panchayat.
  4. The Gram Sabha provides funds for various programs in the village .It is also authorised to put a check on useless expenditures.
  5. The Gram Sabha decides issues like the various funding sources and taxes.
