In Political Science,power sharing basically denotes distribution or allocation of state power among various branches of the government such as executive,legislature and judiciary.

• Political power sharing facilitates smooth and effective functioning of the entire administrative machinery of any country through appropriate distribution or allocation of state power.
• In many instances,the political power sharing in any country is mainly directed to various large scale and small public or social groups in the country to safeguard their interests or demands and wants.
• Under a representative parliamentary form of governance,political and state power is distributed among the respective political constituencies which represent the interests and demands/wants of various minority groups in the country.Any elected political representative from any such constituency represents the different interests,grievances and demands or wants of the respective minority groups in the parliament or the main political assembly in any country.
• The goal of such power sharing structure is to ensure the consideration of minority interests and rights in any national policy implementation in any country.
