1) Sour gas refers to natural gas that contains a large amount of acidic gases. Natural gas contains H2S (hydrogen sulphide) that is acidic in nature. It is corrosive in nature. It is not the purest form of natural gas and can be used only after a lot of refining.

2) Sweet gas refers to natural gas that doesn't contain any acidic gas. It is purest of natural gas and it needs very little refining. It is not corrosive in nature
