stomta are the tiny pores present on the leaf
When stomata are closed, usually during the night times respiration occurs by other means such as through cuticle or the lenticels (small pores) present on the surface of the plants. Some plants also slow down their metabolic activities in the night time so that they won’t need much oxygen. Some other plants control the closing of stomata and do not allow the stomata to close completely.

1 stomata are the pores present on plants leaf. Taking in oxygen is very important because it allows your cells to dothings, like make energy from the food you eat. Plants 'breathe' too, but they do it through tiny openings in leaves called stomata (singular:stoma). Stomata open and close to allow the intake of carbon dioxide and the release of oxygen.
