thevar239: 1.Ions are atoms or group of atoms with a positive or a negative charge. These ions cause electrical conduction through the liquid. A liquid That conducts electricity due to the presence of ions is called an electrolyte.

Answer:

1) Electrical conductivity is the flow of electrons, which are negative particles of charge present in all atoms. In the three states (solid, liquid, and gas), the particles in solid states move the least whereas in a gaseous state they move the most.

2.) The filament of a electric bulb glowsbecause of the heating effect ofelectric current. As the current passesthrough the bulb it heats the filament which gives off light.

3.) For LED 'light bulb' format light sources, these are generally designed to be as cost effective as possible, but for safety, a fuse and an MOV are still necessary at the input.

Answer:

1) Electrical conductivity is the flow of electrons, which are negative particles of charge present in all atoms. In the three states (solid, liquid, and gas), the particles in solid states move the least whereas in a gaseous state they move the most.

2.) The filament of a electric bulb glows because of the heating effect of electric current. As the current passes through the bulb it heats the filament which gives off light.

3.) For LED 'light bulb' format light sources, these are generally designed to be as cost effective as possible, but for safety, a fuse and an MOV are still necessary at the input.

4) Because most of the liquid that conduct the electricity are solutions of acid, base and salt. Liquid are not such good conductor of electricity as metal. So, to glow the bulb in less electricity an LED bulb is required.

Vaishnavi2107: Oxygen gas is evolved at anode and hydrogen gas released at cathode.
Vaishnavi2107: The anode is made up of copper. It gets oxidized to form copper ions which are released in the electrolyte. The copper ions move towards the cathode. At the cathode, they are reduced to form copper. Thus, they get deposited on the metal placed at the cathode.
Vaishnavi2107: this is 6th questions ans
Vaishnavi2107: Important points that should be remembered while electroplating are:
Vaishnavi2107: 1.The metal on which the electroplating is to be done is placed at the cathode.

2.The metal to be electroplated on the base metal is placed at the anode.
Vaishnavi2107: 3.The electrolyte should be a solution of the metal to be electroplated.

For eg: NiSO4 solution for electroplating nickel and CuSO4 solution for electroplating copper.
Vaishnavi2107: 7) negative, because copper will form a cation and so will get attracted towards the negative terminal.
Vaishnavi2107: 8) The properties of chromium metal that make it suitable for electroplating it on car bumper bath taps and bicycle handlebars made of iron are...
Vaishnavi2107: i)Chromium has a good shine.

ii)Chromium resists scratches.

iii)Chromium is corrosion resistant.
