actually friction is a opposing force of our force while moving any body in forward and backward direction.
1.friction is caused in rough surface where the actual contact between the rough surface and the object is very less , when we apply force to the object the intermolecular force between the contact breaks and object moves. friction also helps us in walking on any path.
2. actually by applying lubricators in surface, it reduces the friction and we cannot walk without friction on any surface. so we cannot climb on greasy pole easil
