Explanation:

A stone is a solid, thus the molecules are very close together. A water is a liquid, thus the molecules are loose making it flow. An air is a gas, this the molecules are very far from each other. In ice the molecules are stuck rigidly together and vibrate in place. In liquid water they slide and bump past one another. In water vapor they are much farther apart and they bounce around freely.
