Given

Two points having co-ordinate (c, 0)

and (0, - c).

To Find

the distance between the points.

Concept

Distance between two points :-

Distance between two points having co-ordinate (x_1,y_1) \:and\: (x_2,y_2) is given by \sqrt{{(x_2-x_1)}^2\:+\: {(y_2-y_1)}^2} . This formula is known as distance formula.

Calculations :-

Therefore,by putting corresponding co-ordinate in distance formula ,we can get the distance between points.

Distance =  \sqrt{{(x_2-x_1)}^2\:+\: {(y_2-y_1)}^2}

=  \sqrt{{(0-c)}^2\:+\: {(-c-0)}^2}

=  \sqrt{ c^2 \:+\: c^2}

=  \sqrt{2c^2}

=  c \sqrt{2}

Hence, the distance between the points is c \sqrt{2} units.
