1. First we divide 13601 by 87
13601/87 = 156 while we get 29 as remainder.
so from 13601 we subtract 29 for exactly divisible by 87.
2. when we divide 1056 by 23 we get 45 while 21 as remainder. the remainder is 2 less than 23 . so 2 is added to 1056 to get exactly divisible by 23.
3.the largest 4digit number is 9999 . when we divide 9999 by 16 we get 15 as remainder. so we subtract 15 from 9999 and we get 9984 which is exactly divisible by 16.
4. 5 digit largest number is 99999 . 99999/653 = 153 while 90 left as remainder.
By division algorithm
99999 = 653*153+90
99999 = 99909 +90
99999= 99999
hence it is proved by division algorithm.
5. 6 digit smallest is
100000. when we divide 100000 by 83 and move one more step. and we get 15 as more than remainder so we add 15 into 100000.
