1) What property of carbon is responsible for formation of extremely big molecules of carbon?
(I'm confused between catentation power or tetravalency or something else)

2) What are long chained carbon compounds called?
(it may be polymers but Im asking for an explanation with a website stating the same)

Please give referenced website with an explanation of the answer and not just a plain answer

I'm aware as to what it may be, but I'm not sure how, why and what exactly it is.

( 1 ) Catenation is the property because it is the self - linking property of carbon which enables it to form big chains with other carbon atoms .

( 2 ) Long chained carbon compounds are called polymers, because they are formed by the process of polymerization.

Although, polymerization is not included in 10th NCERT , but still if you want to have a rough idea, then polymerization is the property of compounds of carbon to form big chains .
