When ray of light travels from a rarer medium to denser then the ray of light bends towards the normal this happens due to the high refractive index of glass or ( more optical density of glass) when light enters from a denser medium to rarer then ray of light goes away from the normal due to less refractive index ( or optical density ) of medium .....
