2 ) Aluminum reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce aluminum chloride and hydrogen gas.

The equation is:

2Al+6HCl → 2AlCl3+3H2 2 A l + 6 H C l → 2 A l C l 3 + 3 H 2 .
