Pochampally is situated in the Nalgonda district of Telangana and is popularly referred to as the 'Silk City of India' because of the high-quality silk saree weaving industry here. The town is famous not only because of its sarees, but also because of the tradition, heritage, history and modernity that is unique to the town.
