hey anu!
1. thts unsaturated compounds which under goes addition reaction to make them saturated!
2.both C₂H₂ (ethyne = alkyne = triple bond=CnH2n-2) and C₃H₆ (propene= alkene=double bond=CnH2n) will undergo addition reaction,as they both are unsaturated!:)
hope it helps u dear!

♡ Double or triple bond means alkene (CnH2n)and alkyne(CnH2n-2) group go to addition reaction because there are unsaturated compounds and addition reaction makes the unsaturated compounds to saturated compound in the presence of nickel or palladium .
♡ Yes both hydrocarbon compound go to addition reaction
C2H2 - Ethene (double bond)
C3H6 - Propene (double bond)
Hope this will help you...
