1) International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry

The organization that approves the name of elements all over the world is (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) . The symbol for gold is Au.Oct 31, 2018

2) Antoine L. Lavoisier

Antoine L. Lavoisier laid the foundation of chemical sciences by establishing two important laws of chemical combination. The following two laws of chemical combination were established after much experimentations by Lavoisier and Joseph L.

3)The atomic number is 12, so the number of electrons in a neutral magnesium atom is 12. Now, a magnesium atom has to lose 2 electrons in order to become Mg2+. So, it loses 2 electrons. Hence, the number of electrons in mg2+ ion will be 10.

  • The organization that approves the name of elements all over the world is (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) . The symbol for gold is Au.
  • Antoine L. Lavoisier laid the foundation of chemical sciences by establishing two important laws of chemical combination. The following two laws of chemical combination were established after much experimentations by Lavoisier and Joseph L.
  • Now, the atomic number is 12, so the number of electrons in a neutral magnesium atom is 12. Now, a magnesium atom has to lose 2 electrons in order to become Mg2+. So, it loses 2 electrons. Hence, the number of electrons in mg2+ ion will be 10.
