The French Revolution is considered as a landmark event in the world History. It is because it led to the downfall of monarchy in France and led to the establishment of a republic. This event inspired the people of the other European countries to rebel against the monarchy. The storming of the Bastille prison on 14 July 1789 marked the beginning of the French Revolution.
