1) alloys have large resistivity than metals

suitable for heating elements of iron, toasters e.g., nichrome. Their resistance doex not vary with temperature.

2) metals have low resistivity , therefore are used for making electric wires because there will be no loss of energy

jtbadrinath34: 1) correct but 2) I think it's not correct (needed more detailed)... by the way thanks for answering neha

1..Alloys are used in electrical heating appliances coz they have low conductivity and also low melting point also they have large resistivity......

2 metals are good conductors because they have free electrons in outermost shell of their atoms which are not tightly bound with the atoms and they are free to transport heat energy .however electrons in glass are tightly bonded to their atoms and are not free to flow . this makes the glass bad conductor of heat ...

hope this helps u......

mark as brainliest answer.......

jtbadrinath34: It is good but not accurate as expected anyways thanks sasi
sasidharreddy123: its ok
