Ans: 1. Water pipes are galvanized because of the reason that pipes get rusted on continuous contact with water. The water which flows through these pipes get contaminated (polluted by this rust). To avoid this, the water pipes are galvanized.
2. Freezing of water is a physical change, as there is no change in the composition of water molecule during the freezing. During freezing its state and density changes but not the composition.
Those changes which involve change in the molecular composition are considered as chemical changes.
