People in Europe thought that print will bring enlightenment and despotism. They could easily spread new ideas. who read these saw the world through new eyes.

People could be easily liberated through print. Now people would see it as rational and would be liberated from despotism.

All could read the printed material. It could circulate different ideas. It was against the monarchy. It urged people to be liberated.

Some people also feared of print. They were aristocrats, monarchs etc.Since print was against them. They thought that it will destroy everything.Mainly Roman Catholics were too concerned as print was against their teachings....

Some people were fearing that their power and authority would get eroded if ideas questioning their power gained mass popularity. The availability of the printed books made people more aware and made them question the authority.
