1) To hear a distinct echo, the time interval between the original sound and the reflected one must be at least 0.1 s

2) For hearing distinct echoes, the minimum distance of the obstacle from the source of sound must be 17.2 m

As there is not enough time between reflection of sound waves that has been sent out by speaking. to hear a echo, the time between the sound generated and reflected back should be 0.1 s atleast

and also for hearing an echo the distance between the source of sound and the obstacle should be at least 17.2 m
