Hari talks to his son about the formation of Telangana state and its culture
Explanation:
1) Hari was so emotional because he recalled the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for a separate state of Telangana. It was the anniversary of the day the state was formed.
2) The long-lasting dream of the people was to have a separate state of Telangana. It became true when the government of India declared Telangana as the 29th state of the country on June 2, 2014.
3) Culture is manifested from the language we speak, the food we eat, dresses we wear, the art we practice and the festivals we celebrate.
4) My favourite festival is Bathukamma where the goddess is stacked with layers of flowers, and women sing songs and then immerse Bathukamma in the water bodies.
5) We need to celebrate our traditions and art. We should practice our rituals, celebrate our values and educate our children about our culture. This will preserve our culture and ensure its continuity.
6) The temples, the antiques, the art forms, the literature and our language contribute to our culture and heritage. The government needs to preserve them in order to preserve our culture and heritage.
