1) Why is it that the information on the internet cannot always be taken at face-value?

Answers:

i) The internet is an open platform and anyone can post their views and articles. No verification is required on their qualifications. Hence information can be subpar and/or inaccurate.

ii) The internet is full of websites that promote their products and thus information from them is biased and not impartial

iii) The internet is open to all types of people. People who can lie, scandalize and promote false information.

iv) The internet is also full of old articles and websites that may not provide up to date information.

v) The internet is full of people and websites that give their opinions rather than informed arguments.

2) What is an independent article?

An independent article is one that has been written by a neutral writer who gives an imapartial report on the subject of discussion. These types of articles are non-promotional and give a somewhat accurate report on the subject matter.

Independent articles are also known as third-party aricles.
