1) why is a penumbra not obtained from a point source.

1) We do not obtain penumbra from a point source because all the light rays falling on the shadowing object are completely blocked by it.

2) As we all know that earth spins and it gives the effect of sun rising and setting. So if the sun doesn't rise it means the the rotation of earth has stopped.” “The winds blow at 1000's of miles per hour from east to west and the days would be 6 months longer and the nights would be 6 months longer

3) To remove the misconceptions about eclipses, such as we should not eat during eclipses etc., following efforts can be made: Social media such as Newspapers, T.V., radio,etc

4) At full moon,when the the moon is in opposition to the sun,the moon may pass through the shadow of the earth,a nd a lunar eclipse is visible from the night halfof the earth. This happens when the moon is near one of the nodes of it's orbit on the ecliptic at the time of the SYZYGY.
