1:- Because of the following reasons: It helps to identify the various resources present in different regions of the country. It helps in the conservation of various non-renewable/extinguishable resources. It helps in reducing wastage of resources.

2:- • Availability of resources.

• Skill of human beings.

• Availability of capital.

• Availability of water.

• Advanvement of technology.

• Availability of transport and communication facilities.

3:- They generally grow and become complex with the process of change in the society. In ancient times emphasis was mainly given on satisfying the basic needs such as food , clothing and shelter . In advanced society , greater emphasis is laid on the utilisation of resources for satisfying the multifarious needs of human beings.

4:- Renewable resources :

renewable resources are the natural assets, that can be replenished in the future. The resources can be used over and over again, as they can be revived naturally. Biomass, oxygen, water, sunlight are some of the common examples of renewable resources.

Non renewable resources:

Non-renewable resources represent the resources which do not revive itself at a substantial scale, for enduring economic extraction in the specified period. These natural resources are available in finite quantity, which is once used, cannot be replenished. Examples of non-renewable resources are coal, fossil fuel, crude oil, nuclear energy, etc

I would always prefer to use renewable resources because I'm concerned about my surrounding And the environment from not getting polluted.

5:- Sustainable development is defined by the Brundtland Commission as “development that meets the need of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. To meet these needs sustainable development has become the need of hour.

6:- Resources can be classified on different bases; into following types:

•On the basis of origin: Biotic and Abiotic

•On the basis of exhaustibility: Renewable and Non-renewable

•On the basis of ownership: Individual, community, national and international

•On the basis of status of development: Potential, Developed, Stock and Reserves.
